Democrats point fingers at Biden after Harris's defeat
Within Democratic circles, there's an ongoing search for those responsible for Kamala Harris's "humiliating defeat" in the presidential elections. One of the party's major donors blamed President Joe Biden for this. He believes Biden withdrew from the race too late, reports the "Daily Telegraph." This is not an isolated opinion.

Wall Street investor Whitney Tilson attributed 50% of the blame for Harris's defeat against Donald Trump to Biden's "stupidity and selfishness", as he believes the current president "selfishly decided to run again" in the elections and "did not withdraw earlier."
Tilson expressed disappointment to the British newspaper, saying that it is unfortunate that he will be remembered as the person who rescued us from four years of Trump and as the one who led to another four years of him.
This is not an isolated opinion. "Daily Telegraph" interlocutors in the Democratic Party emphasized that Vice President Harris was forced to take over the campaign from a "deeply unpopular" president and struggled to establish a different direction.
- We ran the best campaign we could, considering Joe Biden was president. Joe Biden is the singular reason Kamala Harris and Democrats lost tonight - said one of the candidate's advisors to Politico, wishing to remain anonymous.
"The party lied to Democrats"
According to the "Daily Telegraph," another subject of criticism is the party's concealment of the outgoing president's "mental condition," which came to light during the debate with Trump and in a series of gaffes made by Biden, such as introducing Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as "President Putin."
The party lied to the American people about the cognitive health and fitness of the president, assessed long-time Democratic Party donor Bill Ackman on platform X, who switched to Trump's camp before this year's elections.
The "Daily Telegraph" emphasizes that Biden's delayed decision to withdraw from the race gave Harris only 107 days from her nomination to election day.
Biden praises Harris. "Will remain a leader"
Kamala Harris has been an amazing partner, declared U.S. President Joe Biden in a press release on Wednesday, expressing appreciation for the vice president's "integrity, courage, and temperament" after her electoral defeat against Donald Trump.
She will continue to be a leader that our children will look up to for generations to come as she leaves a mark on America's future, wrote the American president in the statement.
This is Biden's first public statement after Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the U.S. presidential elections. As the White House informed us, Biden will deliver an address to the nation on Thursday.
