Cora Schumacher on heartache after husband's shocking revelation

Recently, there has been a lot of talk about Cora Schumacher, the wife of Ralf Schumacher, who made a high-profile coming out. In one of her interviews, she admitted that she "wasted the best years of her life." It turns out that there are many more women like her.
The Formula 1 driver admitted that he is homosexual. There would be nothing unusual about this if not for the fact that he had been married for 14 years. Cora Schumacher decided to comment on the whole incident. She did not hide her sorrow and disappointment.
"I feel used and I think I wasted my best years," she said in an interview with "Der Spiegel." Sharon Rieck found herself in a similar situation, discovering after 15 years of marriage that her husband is gay.

Sharon Rieck met her husband when she was 37 years old. They quickly sparked between them. She confessed that she felt "like a princess" around him. The couple got married and had two children. Everything was idyllic for 14 years, until the moment the woman realized her husband was behaving differently than usual.
"I have to admit that one and a half years before that evening, I noticed certain changes in his behaviour. Suddenly he started taking great care of his body, his grooming, and training intensively. We kept a diet together and lost a few pounds," she confessed.
She found out her husband was gay when she went to a pub with him and his friend.
"At the moment when they both felt unnoticed in the crowd, I realized that their caresses were more than just friendly gestures. And suddenly I understood that they had been in an intimate relationship for some time," she revealed.
Never before had she suspected her husband of homosexuality. He gave no signs indicating he might be of a different orientation. When she told him she saw how he behaved towards his friend, he admitted to the affair.
"I don't know what is happening to me. Please give me time," he said, assuring: "I love you and our family."
There are more women like her
The desperate woman wanted to save her family at all costs. Everything changed when she found out that her husband's lover was an HIV carrier and had chronic hepatitis. She filed for divorce.
Shortly after, she founded a secret group for women who found themselves in the same situation. Every week, she receives messages from desperate wives who suspect their partners of having an affair with a man.
"Most men first deny everything, so it often takes years before their true orientation reveals itself. They do this because maybe they themselves don't want to — or can't — admit it to themselves," she added.
