  • Lebanese media report several Israeli air force raids on targets in the south of the country. On Saturday, 12 people, including children, were killed in a rocket attack on the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights. Israel blamed Hezbollah for the attack and announced the group would "pay a heavy price." The Israeli side has confirmed reports of nightly raids on Lebanon.
  • U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday for the current administration's approach to cryptocurrency regulation and promised strong support to the industry’s supporters.
  • Eight bystanders were killed in a shooting on Saturday in Kanana near Klerksdorp in South Africa, North West Province Commissioner General Sello Kwena reported.
  • Paris plunged into Egyptian darkness. In the night from Saturday to Sunday, social media was flooded with photos and videos from the French capital. These clips show total darkness on the streets of this multi-million metropolis. Authorities are investigating what caused the blackout.
