Bananas are rich in vitamins A, B6, C, E, and K. Did you know that for this reason, you can use them as a skincare treatment? One TikTok user proposed using banana peels in an unconventional way. Instead of throwing them away or composting them, she used them as a kind of facial mask.

An avid plant lover and healthy lifestyle advocate, Jen Jones shared her daily skincare ritual on TikTok. Since then, her followers have started looking at banana peels differently.

Tiktoker showed a brilliant trick

Jen turned it inside out and gently rubbed it onto her facial skin, avoiding the eyes and mouth areas. She left the thin layer on her skin for about 30 minutes, then rinsed it with warm water. The result? Moisturized and radiant skin, like after using a luxurious moisturizing cream.

What does a banana mask do?

A banana mask and using banana peels in facial care are excellent solutions for people with dry skin. Bananas contain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, they can also be effective in fighting acne. Bananas also help reduce pigmentation and skin imperfections. The plus side is that this brilliant method costs pennies and fits into the ecological "zero waste" idea.
