"Bad Boys" return: New hit film wins audience despite setbacks

The first part of the action comedy "Bad Boys" hit theatres in 1995. It's noteworthy that Martin Lawrence’s movie was more popular than Will Smith's ("Independence Day" came out a year later). Preparations for all productions involving Smith—including the fourth installment of "Bad Boys"—were cancelled or suspended.

After a two-year hiatus, Will Smith has returned to favour with audiences and critics, as evidenced by the success of the film "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," which grossed about CAD 530 million. Mike and Marcus try to clear Captain Howard of drug-related crimes in the latest production. As they get closer to uncovering the truth, they are framed and hunted by both the police and every gang in the city...
