Amanda Seyfried has been living on a farm in the northern part of New York State with her husband and two children for several years. After experiencing life in both Hollywood and New York City, she decided she needed more peace.
Amanda Seyfried on her private life
In an interview with "Forbes," she admitted: "I moved upstate long before I had a family. Staying here was the best decision for privacy, peace and nature. It offers a more balanced life than the city does."
Although she is still involved in film projects, Seyfried values having a "peaceful place to call home," which helps her adjust to "the faster lifestyle of the city, the high-energy of press events and life on set."
In an interview with Forbes, she mentioned that while it was initially a significant challenge for her, life on the farm has become more stimulating. She also noted that visiting the city has turned into a pleasant excursion, as she now looks forward to returning home, where she finds even greater joy in tending to the animals in her muddy boots.
According to the "Hollywood Reporter," more and more stars are choosing a calmer life. Jason Segel moved from Los Angeles to Ojai in California, saying that "he realized that art should reflect what you are going through, and he wasn't really going through much in life."
Amanda was recently seen in the acclaimed Hulu series "The Dropout." She also starred in the miniseries "The Crowd." The premiere of the production "The Housemaid" is scheduled for 2026, based on a popular book. The film will be a psychological thriller about a woman who, trying to escape her problems, becomes a housekeeper for a wealthy family. However, it turns out this family harbours dark secrets worse than the housekeeper had previously faced. The cast also includes Sydney Sweeney and Brandon Sklenar.
