The press reports that the tragedy happened while a young family with three children was spending their vacation in Slovakia. On a daily basis, they work and live in England.
Locals believe that the girl's parents are caring and good people who strive to provide good conditions for their children. They had been in Markusovce for three weeks.
Tragic death of Ivanka. "There is no explanation"
On the tragic day, Ivanka was supposed to go to the neighbours' pool. When it turned out that the three-year-old was nowhere to be seen, a search began. The girl's terrified mother and several others combed the area carefully.
They finally found the girl in the car. She was already unconscious.
The mother immediately approached her daughter. Probably the doors were not locked... It's terrible. Everyone is in grief, - said the grandfather of the three-year-old.
The rescuers who arrived at the scene could not restore vital functions. The doctor did not find any injuries. At the same time, a post-mortem examination was ordered.
Very few people care for children as much as they do, - said Frantisek Pecha, Ivanka's uncle, quoted by "Blesk".
The tragic death of the three-year-old deeply shook her parents.
They are at rock bottom. There is no explanation as to how she got into that car, - summarized Pecha.
The police are investigating the circumstances of this accident. Criminal proceedings have been initiated. The girl's mother may be held responsible for causing the death. The three-year-old was under her supervision. The father was not at home.
