On the morning of October 7, air raid sirens were heard throughout Kyiv. Russian forces launched Kinzhal hypersonic missiles towards the capital of Ukraine. All of them were intercepted by air defence systems.

Upon hearing the alarm, Ukrainians rushed to find safety, seeking shelter in places such as metro stations.

The dramatic scramble of the residents was recorded by a woman who mocked Ukrainians and spoke favourably about Russia's actions. She then shared the clip online.

She was arrested for praising Russia

The shocking video rapidly spread online, catching the attention of the police.

During social media monitoring, the police discovered a video where the woman arrogantly commented on citizens heading to shelter during the air raid alert and praised the Russian aggressor—Kyiv authorities reported.

Officers acted swiftly. In cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), they tracked down and detained the woman at a dining establishment near the train station.

It was reported that the woman was born in 2001, hails from the Donetsk region, and had recently been living in Kyiv.
