Windows 11 24H2: Promising features overshadowed by bugs
Windows 11 24H2 has already been released, and online reports of errors are multiplying. The highly anticipated update introduces many new features but may also cause problems.
Windows 11 24H2 is a long-awaited update that introduces a range of features. Among the significant new additions are extra options in Copilot+, enhancements to the taskbar and File Explorer, and new mechanisms to improve Wi-Fi privacy. As is often the case, updates can also lead to some issues, and Windows 11 24H2 is no exception in this regard.
Issues with Windows 11 24H2
Problems have arisen after implementing the update, particularly related to the initial computer setup; untranslated interface elements might appear. However, this issue mainly affects users who did not opt for the optional download of update KB5043178 previously. Unfortunately, this seems to be just the tip of the iceberg.
Another problem involves a Windows Update system file over 9 GB, which, for some reason, does not delete itself automatically. Internet users have found that traditional methods of removing the file do not achieve the desired effect.
SSDs not cooperating with Windows 11 24H2
Additional problems include the disappearing cursor or a general system slowdown after the update. Some users of Western Digital SSDs have also experienced the so-called blue screens of death.
According to Windows Latest, the problem affects certain users of WD Black SN770 and WD Blue SN580 drives. It is advisable to be patient and await further instructions from official sources.
