Ukrainian drones strike Russian military sites in daring raids

"Ryazan – a strike at the Dyagilevo airbase. It is one of the main bases of the strategic aviation of the Russian Federation," wrote Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation, on Telegram.

"In Novorossiysk, the port where the Russian Federation keeps missile ships participating in the shelling of Ukraine was attacked," he added.

The attacks were confirmed by local authorities and residents of Ryazan and Novorossiysk, reported the Russian ASTRA channel on Telegram.

The Russian Ministry of Defence stated in its daily report that on Wednesday morning, attacks by Ukrainian forces using drones were thwarted. The ministry said that the Russian air defence intercepted and destroyed 11 drones, including over the Ryazan province. The ministry did not report on the attack on Krasnodar Krai, where the port of Novorossiysk is located.

Russia does not relent

During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Ukraine was also attacked by drones. The Russians launched 50 unmanned aerial vehicles, including the Shahed type, of which 29 were successfully shot down.

Communication was lost with 18 drones, and one entered the territories temporarily occupied by Russia, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Wednesday.
