Satellite photos of the oil terminal in occupied Crimea, which burned for over five days following the Ukrainian attack, indicate its near-total destruction, as reported by the Cyberboroshno analytical project.

In total, it is reported that 12 tanks were affected. Eight of them were completely destroyed. Buildings on the premises of the facility also burned down.

Explosions and fire started on Monday, October 7. Ukrainian forces hit the largest oil terminal in Russian-occupied Crimea using drones.

A very important terminal for the occupiers of Crimea

As media notes cite specialists, a fire of this type cannot be extinguished; it can only be left to burn out and self-extinguish. Russian occupation authorities only informed about the stabilization of the situation on Saturday, six days after the attack. A state of emergency was declared in the region.

The evacuation of approximately a thousand nearby residents was necessary. Despite authorities' assurances that harmful substance concentration standards were not exceeded, residents complained of various ailments—from nausea to coughing.

The oil terminal in Feodosia is the largest Russian terminal in Crimea in terms of oil product transshipment, used among other purposes for the Russian army. This base was previously attacked by Ukrainian drones in March.
