A Ukrainian drone struck the car of Russian propagandist Yevgeny Poddubny while he was "reporting" on military operations in the Kursk region. The man miraculously survived. The Ukrainian army released footage of the attack.

"A film crew from the Ukrainian TV channel TSN released a video report from Sudzha, the administrative center of the Sudzhansky District in Russia’s Kursk Region, earlier today," reported the Russian independent portal The Insider.

Poddubny's car is seen driving on the highway from the drone's perspective in the released drone footage. Moments later, the unmanned aerial vehicle struck the vehicle. In the next shot, the bloodied propagandist is visible. According to reports, the man survived only because he was sitting in the driver's seat, not the passenger's.

Earlier, there were reports that the well-known Kremlin propagandist had died, but they were quickly refuted.

The All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company reported that Yevgeny Poddubny was injured as a result of the Ukrainian drone attack and is in the hospital.

"Despite early reports that Poddubny was killed, Russia’s state news media and acting Kursk Governor Alexey Smirnov later revealed that he is alive and has regained consciousness. However, the news agency TASS later reported that Poddubny remains in critical condition," reported the Russian independent portal Meduza on Wednesday evening.
