"Further attacks on Kharkiv prove the validity of Ukraine's strategy"

"Russia is terrorizing Kharkiv again. Attacks on civilian infrastructure in the city. Currently, there are over 30 injured. All necessary forces are engaged in the rescue operation," the president emphasized on Telegram.

Attacks on civilian facilities

"Ordinary civilian facilities - shopping mall, Palace of Sports, city buildings. Every such strike on Kharkiv, on our other towns and villages, proves the correctness of our tactics, especially in the Kursk region: we must bring the war to the home from where it was brought to Ukraine. And not just to the border regions of Russia," Zelensky noted.

He also assured that Ukraine is intensifying efforts to extend the range of its weapons so that they can cover more military and critical industrial targets in Russia.

Ukrainian forces need effective tools

"To force Russia into peace, to move from the false rhetoric of negotiations to steps aimed at ending the war, to clear our land of occupation and occupiers, we also need effective tools," Zelensky emphasized.

On the same day, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov informed that Russian forces conducted about 10 attacks on the city, resulting in 28 injuries, including a six-year-old child. These data were also confirmed by the local authorities of the Kharkiv region.

Objective: Energy infrastructure

Russian troops also attacked an energy facility in Kharkiv, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy informed. "Currently, the effects of the shelling are being dealt with," the statement reads.

According to the information, the Russian army carried out a massive attack on Kharkiv, using Iskander-M and S-300/400 missiles. "The prosecution and police determined that the enemy fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles towards the shopping mall in the Saltivska district of Kharkiv," it was reported.

"Three Iskander-M missiles hit the building of the Palace of Sports in the Nemyshliansk district, and three S-300/400 missiles hit the neighbouring area," the statement noted.
