"Marty Supreme" is loosely based on the life of Marty Reisman, a notable talent from the 1950s. Reisman won the US men's singles championship twice, in 1958 and 1960, in addition to securing over 20 international and national titles. The film plots Reisman's journey, starting with playing for wagers in Manhattan, eventually winning 22 championship titles, and becoming the oldest national sports tournament winner in racquet sports at the age of 67.

Photos featuring the duo in action have appeared online. Tyler, the Creator is shown driving one of the iconic yellow New York taxis, with Chalamet sitting in the passenger seat. The film, inspired by the life of the unconventional ping-pong champion Marty Reisman, keeps its secrets well, with plot details still under wraps. However, fans can spot Chalamet sporting a 1950s look, indicating that the film is set in that period.

Alongside the young actor and rapper, Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Penn Jillette, Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara, Fran Drescher as Marty’s mother, and Sandra Bernhard will also appear in the film. The producers include Josh Safdie, Ronald Bronstein, Eli Bush, and Anthony Katagas, with Elara Pictures and A24 production. Filming is occurring in New York, providing the movie with an authentic urban feel.

Director Josh Safdie, known for films such as "Uncut Gems" and "Good Time," which he created with his brother Benny, is embarking on a new challenge. Recently, he directed Adam Sandler's special comedy show "Love You" on Netflix. Safdie is also collaborating with Sandler on a new project set in the sports world, focusing on baseball.

"Marty Supreme" is poised to be one of the most intriguing films of the coming year, combining a unique style with fresh ideas. Fans of both artists are eagerly waiting for its premiere in 2025, with the first images increasing excitement for this unconventional project. A24, known for its innovative productions, is expected to lend its distinctive character to the film.
