- The arrival of U.S. President Donald Trump in Russia for the Victory Day celebrations on May 9 is not planned, said Peskov. His words were quoted by the RBK portal.

Meanwhile, the French weekly "Le Point," citing its sources, reported on Friday that Donald Trump will meet with Vladimir Putin on May 9. This date is symbolic for Russia, as Moscow celebrates Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War on this day.

"What victory will Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump celebrate on May 9, 2025? Likely not the one achieved by the Allies in 1945, but their own, a joint victory in peace negotiations on Ukraine, which, according to Gen. Kellogg's plan, are supposed to be completed… on May 9," reads the weekly.

As noted in the commentary, if this plan succeeds, it will mean a triumph for Putin, who, justifying the invasion of Ukraine, compared Ukrainians to Nazis.

Donald Trump was asked about the French weekly report a few hours later. His response was brief and decisive: "No, no, I don't plan to."
