Trump's unyielding bid: A risky play for white house control

The Republican candidate has started implementing a plan to challenge the election results. Therefore, even if Kamala Harris were to win the vote on November 5, Donald Trump still plans to claim victory. His plan is risky but possible to implement in light of the law.

Trump will win, even if he loses. He has a plan for that.

"Cheating already started in Lancaster," said the Republican candidate recently at a rally in Pennsylvania. According to Donald Trump, immigrants who do not have American citizenship are already participating in the mail-in voting. He also claims that votes cast for him are being destroyed. And, as he alleges, this will escalate further on election day.

This is not the end of it. Trump's Plan B for victory includes several stages, with this being just the first. The Republican candidate plans to fight for the White House until the very end, even if his opponent, Kamala Harris, wins the election on November 5.

"A little secret"

At a rally, he admitted that he shares "a little secret" with House Speaker Mike Johnson. It concerns orchestrating a situation where, in the event of a Democratic victory, the House of Commons, rather than the electorate, determines who will be the country's next president. Such a possibility is noted in the Constitution.

And here lies the crux of the entire plan. Trump aims to trigger a massive wave of protests, leading to officials loyal to him refusing to certify the election results in certain key counties and provinces.

This is quite risky for them, as provincial authorities could immediately sue them and face high prison sentences.

Therefore, Trump has another weapon in his arsenal: the Supreme Court. Due to the appointments he made during his first term, six out of nine judges are favourable to him.

It cannot be ruled out that the highest body of the US legal system might decide that the House of Commons, not the electorate, should appoint the country's next leader.

In 2000, the Supreme Court's decision regarding voting in Florida resulted in George W. Bush becoming president, not Al Gore.

The White House or prison

Donald Trump is extremely, even more so than before, determined to seize the White House at all costs. He faces several charges, including attempting a coup d'état. He has also been found guilty of financial fraud in New York, although the court has not yet decided on the sentence.

Thus, if he does not return to Washington for another term and does not gain immunity, he will likely spend the coming years in courtrooms or possibly even in a prison cell.
