Trump's envoy to unveil peace plan at Munich conference

As reported by Bloomberg, Trump's special envoy for Russia and Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, will unveil in Munich the U.S. administration's plan to end the three-year war in Ukraine. This announcement coincides with statements from Moscow and Kyiv, both declaring their readiness for talks.

Participation in the Munich Security Conference, which will take place from February 14-16, has been confirmed by Kellogg himself.

"Pleased to announce my participation the Munich Security Conference 2025. As U.S. president's special envoy for Russia and Ukraine, I look forward to speaking about [U.S. President] Donald Trump's goal to end the bloody and costly war in Ukraine," wrote Kellogg.

The proposal is set to be presented during the conference in Bavaria a week before the third anniversary of Russia's war against Ukraine. "Reports and comments from Kellogg and others in recent weeks have provided hints of the plan to seek what Trump allies have referred to as 'peace through strength,'" commented the agency.

According to Bloomberg's sources, one element of the plan includes potentially freezing the conflict, leaving the territories occupied by Russia in an undefined status, and providing Ukraine with security guarantees to prevent Moscow from launching another attack.

The agency also notes that Ukrainian bonds, which have been rising in value for most of the last three months due to speculation about a possible move towards peace, gained value again on Wednesday.

The prices of U.S. dollar-denominated bonds, which are due in 2035 and 2036, rose to their highest level since their issuance last year.
