On Monday evening, the eyes of the world's media will be on the Capitol, where Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the USA. Donald Trump, in his inaugural speech, which will take place on Monday, will call for a "revolution of common sense."
As reported by the "Wall Street Journal," the President of the USA is expected to express his belief that the country stands on the brink of a new era of success.
"I return to the office of President with conviction and optimism that we are at the beginning of a new, exciting era of national success. A wave of change is sweeping across the country. My message to Canadians today is that it is time for us to once again act with the courage, vigour, and vitality of the greatest civilization in history," Trump is expected to say, according to the "WSJ."
Trump in an optimistic version
According to the newspaper, the tone of the speech will be "more optimistic" compared to the one prepared for his first inauguration in 2017. "WSJ" notes, however, that the Republican is known for frequent improvisations.
The inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the USA will begin at 12 PM Eastern Time.
Due to low temperatures, the inauguration will take place inside the Capitol, which is the first such instance since 1985.
According to announcements, Trump plans to start his second term by issuing approximately 100 executive orders, which will include, among other things, restrictions at the border, easing regulations on oil drilling, and imposing new tariffs. Trump will be the second president in the history of the USA to return to the White House after a four-year break.
