An eight-year-old girl has died after suddenly feeling unwell during a flight to Chicago. The child and her entire family were on the way to vacation. Although the pilot initiated an emergency landing and paramedics attended to the girl, they could not save her life.

The tragic incident occurred on Thursday. Sydney Weston, eight years old from Carl Junction, USA, suddenly felt unwell on the plane to Chicago. She was travelling with her parents and brother for a vacation.

During the flight, Sydney lost consciousness. As reported by the portal "Daily Express US," the family immediately informed the flight crew about her condition, and assistance was rendered promptly.

In light of the situation, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing in Illinois, where rescue services were already awaiting the child. However, as reported later by the coroner's office, when the plane landed, the girl was not breathing and had no discernible pulse.

She was transported to a local hospital in Peoria. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, her life could not be saved. On arrival, the child's death was confirmed.

The coroner's office reported that an autopsy was scheduled for Friday. It added that preliminary findings regarding the incident would be published after its completion.
