Recipe for perfect cookies from a meat grinder

Want to recreate the taste you remember from childhood? Below is a tried and tested recipe for cookies from a meat grinder that always turns out well.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (about 375 grams) of wheat flour,
  • 200 grams (about 7 ounces) of butter,
  • 2 egg yolks,
  • 2 tablespoons (about 30 ml) of 12% sour cream,
  • 1/2 cup (about 65 grams) powdered sugar,
  • 2 packages of vanilla sugar.

Preparation:

  1. All ingredients should be at room temperature to blend more easily. In a large bowl, chop the butter with the flour, and add the egg yolks, sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar. Mix everything with a knife or a food processor until the dough has a smooth consistency.
  2. Form the dough into a ball, slightly flatten it, and wrap it in plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. This will make the dough easier to shape. If, after cooling, it turns out to be too hard, leave it for a few minutes at room temperature.
  3. Transfer the dough to a meat grinder with the appropriate cookie attachment. Squeeze portions directly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, creating various shapes – from classic lines to fancy spirals.
  4. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (390°F) for 10–15 minutes, until the cookies are slightly browned. Monitor the baking process to avoid burning.

Cookies from a meat grinder are not only a tasty dessert, but also a way to spend time with family and friends. Try this simple recipe and discover how much joy homemade baking can bring!
