On July 13, 2024, Lithuania experienced a monstrous storm that hit the area around Šiauliai. Surveillance recorded the terrifying moments of the tornado hitting one of the local farms. The extent of the destruction is alarming.

The roof of the building was completely ruined. The mighty wind tore off the roof tiles and ceilings, leaving the building ruins. The tornado did not spare the garden either – trees were uprooted, and the backyard well was demolished.

The residents of the house experienced moments of horror, and the surveillance recordings showed the might of the natural disaster, which, in just a few moments, turned a peaceful farm into a storm-ravaged battlefield. Local emergency services quickly emerged, assisting the victims and securing the area.

The effects of the recent storm around the town of Šiauliai are just one example of the immense damage such phenomena can cause. In addition to the destroyed farm, many other homes and buildings sustained damage, power lines were cut, and fallen trees blocked roads.

Severe storms and violent wind gusts, hailstorms, and tornadoes are becoming more common. These storms cause material losses and affect residents' sense of security. All of Europe is struggling with storms that bring severe destruction.
