"Titanic" is undoubtedly one of the most popular films in the world. Over the course of more than 26 years of broadcasting, it has managed to create many acting careers, both big and small, as exemplified by Reece Thompson's story. He recently decided to share how much he earns from the production.

There are films worldwide that can undoubtedly be considered cult classics. These include productions like "The Godfather," "The Matrix," and "Titanic." Despite many years since their premiere, they still enjoy immense popularity, as evidenced by successive generations still eagerly watching them.

So it’s no wonder that for many actors who played in them, it was one of the biggest breakthroughs in their careers. However, mere popularity is not everything. The films mentioned above are also among the most profitable movies in history, which means the actors in them continue to earn money from them.

This is the case, for example, with Reece Thompson, who played in "Titanic" at the age of 5. Although his role in the production was episodic, and many may not even remember it, as the 31-year-old actor recently shared, he still receives royalties precisely because of his role in the Oscar-winning hit.

He acted in Titanic and after 26 years still makes money from it

It's strange because he no longer controls it. It’s not something like: "Oh, when will I get a new cheque for Titanic?" When it happens, I think to myself: "Great, an extra $100." A few times it happened that someone said: "Wow, a cheque for $250" [...] I hope they play [Titanic] a lot, because that means more money for me — he said in 2018 during an interview with Business Insider, Reece Thompson.

The actor, more than 26 years after the film's premiere, despite spending a few seconds on screen, still earns good money. Interestingly, it was his mother who convinced him to play in "Titanic," telling him that "even if the movie is terrible, we'll watch it." Meanwhile, "Titanic" became one of the best and most profitable films in the world, ensuring Thompson a steady stream of cash.
