Airport spokeswoman Kelli Kuester reported that the Learjet 35A owned by Neil, which arrived from Austin, Texas, veered off the runway during landing and hit a parked Gulfstream G200 jet belonging to Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn. There were four people on board the Learjet and one in the Gulfstream.

According to preliminary findings, the cause of the accident may have been a failure of the left landing gear, which gave way during landing.

Vince Neil is an American musician and composer, known for being the lead singer of the band Mötley Crüe. At the time of the accident at Scottsdale Airport, neither Neil nor Vaughn was on board the planes.

Series of air disasters in the USA

The accident in Arizona is the latest air incident in the USA recently. Inspectors from the American National Transportation Safety Board are investigating three other crashes that have occurred in the past few weeks.
