Russia's drone assault thwarted; heavy fighting near Pokrovsk

Russian forces conducted night attacks on Ukraine, deploying over 60 drones. According to the Kyiv Indepndent, 43 drones were shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions, while 15 drones were electronically disabled.
The heaviest fighting occurred near Pokrovsk, where Ukrainian defenders thwarted 98 enemy offensive actions.
Intense clashes near Pokrovsk
Pokrovsk, a key logistical centre for the Ukrainian army, has been under Russian attack for months. The Russians are attempting to encircle the city by capturing nearby villages but haven't reached its centre yet. The General Staff of Ukraine reports that, in the last 24 hours, there have been 199 clashes between Ukrainian and Russian forces.
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that the Russians used 61 drones, including the Shahed model, for attacks on various regions in Ukraine. Of these, 43 drones were shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. Fifteen drones were electronically neutralized.
