Russian armed forces have once again used their experimental tank on the front in Ukraine. It is called the "turtle" because its additional armour resembles that of friendly animals. A video has appeared online showing how the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the enemy equipment. What a powerful explosion it was.

A new Russian vehicle appeared in Ukraine relatively recently, in April 2024. As they are called, turtle tanks initially became the subject of jokes and mockery by the Russian army.

The colossal silhouette from installing metal plates on the T-62, T-72, or T-80 tank proved to be a solution that only looked unimposing.

In the upper part of the "turtle shell," you can see, among other things, mounted electronic warfare systems. Their role is to combat Ukrainian kamikaze drones approaching the tank.

For several weeks, however, Ukrainians did not publish evidence confirming the destruction of any of the new turtle tanks.

In this seemingly insane modification of the vehicles, there was an effective method of coping in battles. Eventually, however, they found a way to deal with the Russian constructions.

A short video on Platform X showed a powerful explosion of a "turtle." A humorous caption was added to the video, "These are not the same turtles as they used to be..."

The mentioned tank is most likely moving in the company of allied troops and jamming signals to prevent Ukrainian drones from launching an attack near the passing "turtle."

The situation on the front has significantly worsened for the Russians after the decision of the United States. The Americans have finally given - albeit limited - permission for Ukrainians to use their weapons to attack targets on Russian territory. This refers to the border region in the Kharkiv oblast. Ukrainians are prohibited from using MGM-140 ATACMS ballistic missiles in this case.
