Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilian areas leave 17 dead, 51 injured
In the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces conducted massive attacks on the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions in Ukraine, resulting in 17 deaths and over 51 injuries. The Ukrainian police reported that the attacks targeted civilian objects.

During the progress of Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region in Russia, the Putin regime is intensifying attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. In the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces conducted massive attacks on the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions in Ukraine. According to the police, 17 people died and over 51 were injured.
They mainly attack civilian targets
The Ukrainian National Police reported Russian military attacks that took place during the day – mainly targeting civilian objects.
In the Kharkiv region, as a result of shelling in the village of Pervomaiske in the Izium district, an entire family was found under the rubble of a house – an 80-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man died. The third family member – a 58-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition.
In the Kherson region, 27 objects were damaged due to artillery and drone strikes. One person died, and five others were injured.
The most serious situation occurred in the Donetsk region, where, according to the Ukrainian police, the Russians shelled the front area 2849 times in a day.
"Eleven villages were attacked, and 61 civilian objects were destroyed, including 29 residential buildings. Fourteen people died, and 42 were injured. An additional 1661 people were evacuated, including 486 children," the statement reads.
The Russians also attacked Nikopol and surrounding villages. A 50-year-old resident was injured. A Russian drone also attacked a five-storey building; a 21-year-old woman and an 18-month-old boy were injured.
On Friday, Russian forces also attacked eastern regions of Ukraine. In an attack on a hypermarket in Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, 14 people died, and 43 were injured.
