Ukraine strikes refinery in Volgograd
On Sunday morning, the Ukrainska Pravda website, citing Russian media and local authorities, reported that a Ukrainian strike had also destroyed a refinery in Volgograd. The attack by a drone caused a fire.
According to Russian sources, the drone that attacked the oil processing plant in Volgograd "fell on the premises" of the facility. The fire was reportedly extinguished, and there were no casualties. The drone was destroyed by electronic warfare but fell near the refinery, leading to a fire. This response is typical of the Russian authorities in cases of Ukrainian drone attacks. The Russians usually claim that all such attacks are successfully repelled.
On Saturday, Ukrainian media, citing military intelligence (GUR), reported a successful drone attack on the Lukoil refinery in Volgograd.
