Russian attack

Over 130 combat clashes were carried out by Ukrainian troops in the last 24 hours on the war fronts with Russia; most of them took place near the besieged city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region - reported the General Staff in Kyiv on Friday morning.

According to the DeepState project, which provides the latest reports from the battle lines and marks troop positions on the front-line map, the Russians have seized three villages south of Pokrovsk.

The city, which had about 60,000 residents at the beginning of 2022, is a strategic logistical hub for the Ukrainian army. The Russian forces aim to encircle it.
