Chicken calzone with pesto - Cbreast recipe

Calzone is an Italian dish that resembles a dumpling or a croissant. It's a type of pizza that's folded in half, with a variety of ingredients similar to a classic pizza inside. In this case, instead of pizza dough, we have a chicken breast filled with homemade red pesto, mozzarella, and black olives. The entire creation is enveloped in a crispy breadcrumb crust with parmesan.

This is a delicious recipe for a family dinner that will surprise even the pickiest guests.

Step 3. Cut the chicken fillet so that it forms a large sheet. Pound it with a meat tenderizer, preferably through plastic wrap, to prevent splattering. Spread the prepared pesto, then add grated mozzarella, fresh basil leaves, and chopped olives.

Step 4. Fold the chicken in half and secure the edges by pounding them. Sprinkle with the prepared breading, pressing it onto the meat. Drizzle with olive oil. Place in an oven preheated to 175 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.

Step 5. After this time, the chicken calzone is ready to eat. It tastes best when warm, with the melted cheese flowing enticingly upon cutting. Serve the calzone with your favourite salad. You can also add fries or potatoes. Enjoy!
