Vladimir Putin has been sworn in as president of Russia for the fifth time. As reported by "Super Express," citing the author of the "SWR General" channel on Telegram, his efforts are currently focused on preventing the planned peace conference on Ukraine in Switzerland in June. He wants to use the former president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, for this purpose.

On Tuesday, May 7, Vladimir Putin was sworn in as president of Russia. Thus, he began his fifth term as head of state, which will last six years. This makes him the longest-serving leader of Russia in over 200 years.

During the oath-taking, Vladimir Putin said that his country "was not rejecting dialogue with the West, including on nuclear weapons" - writes the agency "Reuters". He added that Russia is "open" to developing relations with other countries, which he described as the "world majority".

Let's emphasize that there were no representatives from the USA, Great Britain, Canada, and most EU countries at the inauguration.

- "No, we will not have a representative at his inauguration." - said on Monday Matthew Miller, spokesman for the US State Department - "We certainly did not consider that election free and fair but he is the president of Russia and he is going to continue in that capacity" - he added, quoted by "Reuters".

However, other guests arrived at the Kremlin. One of them is Steven Seagal. Since 2014, the actor has been actively supporting the conflict with Ukraine and received the Order of Friendship from Vladimir Putin. Ramzan Kadyrov also appeared at the inauguration.

As reported by "Super Express," citing the author of the "SWR General" Telegram channel, Vladimir Putin is currently looking for a way to prevent the peace summit on Ukraine planned for mid-June in Switzerland.

The plans to prevent the summit are proposed in a chaotic manner and are also accepted chaotically. The First Deputy Chief of the Presidential Administration of Russia, Sergei Kiriyenko, proposed using the ousted president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, for this purpose. He wants to do this before it's too late, because according to Kiriyenko, Yanukovych's health is very bad, and he doesn't have much time left - wrote on Wednesday, May 7, on Telegram.

Therefore, the question arises: How would the Russian president use the former president of Ukraine?

The ideas are very different, from declaring him the current legitimate president of Ukraine along with signing the annexation of Ukraine to Russia, to signing a peace agreement with him, according to which the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions would be given to Russia - writes.

It adds, "There are several equally absurd proposals, all of which boil down to trying to impose the illegality of Volodymyr Zelensky on the West and proposing Viktor Yanukovych as an alternative."
