Erica M. went on vacation to Nebraska with two friends. The women rented an Airbnb with four beds, but one friend cancelled at the last minute due to caring for a sick child. As it turned out, she was quite fortunate. Upon arriving at the rental home, her friends discovered that one of the beds was not what it appeared to be in the photos on the site.

Two plastic tables "simulated" a bed

After lifting the pink cover, the surprised vacationers saw not a bed, but two foldable plastic tables. Erica recorded a video illustrating the renter's "cunning," which her sister, Kristen Downard, posted on TikTok. The video gained nearly nine million views in just 24 hours, with many reaction versions commenting on the cunning Airbnb listing.

Due to the video's popularity, Erica clarified on her sister's TikTok that, fortunately, the fourth bed was not ultimately needed. She also showed her followers other "strange" things in the rented Airbnb. In the "TV room," there was no TV, but instead, two cameras on stands and a popcorn machine.

Airbnb refunded the money for renting the house

Downard wrote in a comment under the viral video that her sister would not file a formal complaint against the rental. This was despite several other oddities she found, including a micro-sink and a gaping hole in the laundry room that seemed to lead to "some tunnel."

Even though the group did not submit a formal complaint, Downard told dailymail.com that Airbnb reached out to them after the two videos went viral on TikTok. She reported that the company refunded them the full amount paid for the rental. The company confirmed this in an email to Daily Mail. Downard removed both videos from TikTok.
