Noodles can be the base for many delicious dishes, such as soups, salads, or casseroles. Today, I propose a recipe for a pasta casserole with phyllo dough, cottage cheese, and an egg-milk mixture. This dish is quick to prepare and exceptionally tasty, making it disappear from plates even faster than it was made.
Recipe for pasta casserole with phyllo dough
This casserole is ideal for a family dinner. It is delicious and filling and will surely satisfy the appetites of all household members. Thanks to garlic and parsley, this dish is also very aromatic.
Ingredients:
3 sheets of phyllo dough
500 grams pasta twists
2 cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Parsley
500 grams of cottage cheese
Ingredients for the mixture:
500 ml milk
3 eggs
Salt to taste
125 ml oil
Preparation:
- Cook the pasta in salted water until soft.
- Crush the cottage cheese with a fork, add finely chopped parsley and garlic pressed through a press, and mix.
- Prepare the mixture to pour over the pasta. In a bowl, beat the eggs, add oil, milk, and salt, and mix well.
- Transfer the cooked pasta to a separate bowl and pour the prepared mixture.
- Grease a baking dish with butter. Place a sheet of phyllo dough at the bottom, and on it, put half the pasta with the mixture.
- Place the second sheet of phyllo dough and spread the mixture of cottage cheese, garlic, and parsley on it.
- Cover with the next sheet of phyllo dough.
- Put the remaining pasta with the mixture on top, and place the last sheet of phyllo dough.
- Pour the remaining mixture over the top of the casserole.
- Bake the casserole at 177°C (350°F) for 30 minutes, until the phyllo dough is golden brown.
