Pepper secret: Revive your clothes' colour with a teaspoon in the wash

Shelves in stores are full of various detergents that make daily household chores easier. However, in recent years, interest in natural ingredients has been growing. This trend not only promotes environmental protection but also helps save money.

Currently, we can choose from powders, liquids, capsules, or gels. There are also detergents specially designed for washing dark and light fabrics.

If we care about more natural protection for our clothes, we can use... pepper.

Before starting the washing machine, add one teaspoon of ground black pepper to the drum. Pepper excellently absorbs excess detergent, which can cause fabric fading.

Thanks to this, clothes will retain their vibrant colour and even restore the old shine to faded clothes.

Set the wash with the pepper addition to a relatively low temperature. If any pepper residue remains in the drum after finishing the wash, simply run a short rinse cycle.
