Popularity and reputation are not eternal. More and more stars, who were once triumphant not so long ago, are realizing this. One of the most spectacular falls in show business was that of R. Kelly. The star was first sentenced to 30 years in prison, and a year later, received an additional 20 years. The charges against him include running organized criminal activities.
P. Diddy - the fall of an icon
It seems that P. Diddy, or Sean Combs, may share a similar fate. The famous producer is considered an icon of the hip-hop scene. His dark activities have been talked about in the industry for years, but until recently, the rapper had avoided jail. Throughout his career, he worked with many artists who would prefer not to remember that today. This is all because in mid-September Combs was arrested and charged with serious crimes, including physical and psychological abuse of women.
Currently, P. Diddy is held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting trial. The court did not agree to release the star even if he posted a CAD 68 million bail. There are fears that outside prison, he could manipulate witnesses of the upcoming trial or even flee from justice. Diddy, of course, denies the charges against him.
P. Diddy not eating in prison?
The prison where P. Diddy is held is known for its high suicide rate among inmates. However, the rapper's lawyers assure that their client is not suicidal and is under constant observation.
There were also reports in the press that Diddy might have stopped eating. The prison diet surely falls short of the luxuries he has become accustomed to. Foreign media claimed that the rapper was not deterred by the taste of the meals, but by the fear of poisoning. Combs' close ones have denied these rumours.
He's eating normal jailhouse food like any other inmate - the music mogul receives no special treatment - a TMZ source reveals.
Although the rapper is said not to behave paranoically in prison, many believe he has reasons to. Diddy's former enemy, Suge Knight, claims that he should be careful, as other inmates are most likely already plotting against him.
