Ground meat patties are a classic, but frying them in a pan involves excessive fat and a strong smell throughout the house. That's why more and more people opt for an alternative method – baked ground meat patties. This method guarantees juiciness and a crispy crust without the need for frying. Thanks to this method, the patties are lighter, healthier, and just as tasty, and their preparation is straightforward.

Oven-baked ground meat patties – the ideal solution for everyone

Traditional ground meat patties often require a large amount of fat for frying, which makes them heavy to digest. Baking them in the oven reduces the dish's caloric content while maintaining its exceptional flavour. Oven-baked ground meat patties are tender on the inside and pleasantly crispy on the outside. Moreover, they eliminate the problem of splattering fat and the need for long frying over the stove.

Ingredients for oven-baked ground meat patties:

  • 500 grams of ground meat (e.g., from ham or pork shoulder),
  • 1 onion with green onion,
  • 1-2 tablespoons of oil (for sautéing the onion),
  • 1 stale roll (soaked in milk or water),
  • 1 egg,
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley,
  • 2 teaspoons of granulated garlic,
  • Salt and pepper to taste,
  • Bread crumbs for coating,
  • About 15-20 grams of butter.

How to prepare oven-baked ground meat patties?

  1. Prepare the onion – Finely chop the onion and green onion, then sauté them in a bit of oil until they become translucent.
  2. Mix the ingredients – Add the drained roll, sautéed onion, egg, chopped parsley, and spices to the ground meat. Thoroughly work the mixture with your hand so the ingredients blend well. If the mixture is too thin, add a little bread crumbs.
  3. Form the patties – Form small patties from the prepared mixture, lightly flatten them, and coat them in bread crumbs.
  4. Bake instead of fry – Place the patties on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Make a slight indentation in the middle of each and place a little butter there – this will make them even juicier.
  5. Put in the oven – Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan mode) and bake the patties for 20 minutes. Then, increase the temperature to 190°C, turn on the upper grill, and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the patties are golden brown.

Oven-baked ground meat patties are a method that once you try, you won't go back to frying! Simple to prepare, full of flavour, and perfect for a family dinner – I recommend it to anyone who values healthy and tasty cuisine.
