Vladimir Putin has a choice of residence—at least several in different regions of Russia. The one that causes the most excitement is the mysterious residence in Valdai. Putin has his dacha there. The property is isolated from the world. It is located by a lake, deep in a dense forest. This is where the Russian dictator spends his free time.

The Alexei Navalny Foundation once managed to film the property with a drone. It turned out to be highly luxurious. Valdai is an entire complex of buildings, which includes, among others, Putin's residence, a church, and numerous entertainment facilities such as saunas, baths, a restaurant, and a casino. The dictator has access to many entertainment facilities he and his guests use. Also located there is the home of Alina Kabaeva, the Russian leader's mistress.

Discovery near Putin's residence

According to moscowtimes.ru, an extraordinary discovery was made near Putin's residence in Valdai on May 6. About 4 kilometres from it, another air defence system appeared. The Pantsir-S1 artillery and missile system was deployed on one of the nearby islands. The discovery was made with the help of Google Maps.

The anti-aircraft missile system was placed on a particular tower and likely appeared in the area in March 2024. Media reports state that the defence system may have arrived from St. Petersburg. Of course, the goal is to protect Putin's residence. This is not the first such installation near the dictator's dacha. In January of last year, the presence of the same system was confirmed in one of the villages about 6 kilometres from the residence. Anti-aircraft systems have also covered other similar facilities.

The fear of an air attack is significant in Russia, as Ukrainians regularly strike critical military infrastructure with the help of drones. This is, of course, a response to Russia's aggression, which strikes Ukrainian buildings with its rockets and missiles. Unfortunately, not long ago, a hospital in Kyiv was targeted by Russian criminals, resulting in tragic consequences.
