The House Ethics Committee released a report that makes serious allegations against Matt Gaetz, a former congressman from Florida. The document indicates that Gaetz allegedly paid for sex with a 17-year-old girl, which is considered a criminal offence in the state of Florida. The report also reveals that the politician used drugs and obstructed the investigation.

Gaetz, known for his close cooperation with Donald Trump, was nominated for attorney general. However, his nomination was withdrawn due to the ongoing investigation.

The Ethics Committee report emphasizes that Gaetz regularly paid women for sex and received illegal gifts. The politician denies the allegations, claiming the money was a gift.

According to the Polish Press Agency, the release of the report is unusual. Similar investigations typically conclude with the end of the congressman's term.

Members of the ethics committee have emphasized that their goal was to correct false information about the document's content. Gaetz now plans a career in media, despite the controversies surrounding him.
