Kylian Mbappe denies Stockholm rape accusations amidst disputes
The French footballer Kylian Mbappe is accused of rape at the Bank Hotel in Stockholm, reported the newspaper "Expressen." The police and prosecutor's office are not providing any information on this matter. Mbappe himself claims he is a victim of "fake news."
Information about the initiation of an investigation into the rape in Stockholm was provided on Monday by the newspaper "Aftonbladet." In this article, the name of a Real Madrid footballer also appeared, who was allegedly in Stockholm at the time the crime took place.

"FAKE NEWS !!!!. It's becoming so predictable, on the eve of the hearing, as if by chance," wrote Mbappe on platform X, linking the "Aftonbladet" article with the hearing planned for Tuesday before the French Football League (FLP) commission in a financial dispute between him and Paris Saint-Germain.
Rape in "central Stockholm"
According to Aftonbladet, Mbappe was in a restaurant called Chez Jolie in Stockholm on Thursday evening with a group of people. They then went to a club called V, where they met up with others.
According to the complaint which "Aftonbladet" was said to have reviewed, the alleged rape took place on Thursday evening in "central Stockholm."
"The police took up the complaint on Saturday after the woman had sought medical treatment," added "Aftonbladet."
Mbappe suspected of rape?
On Tuesday, the Swedish newspaper "Expressen" reported directly that Mbappe is suspected of rape, which he allegedly committed at the Bank Hotel. The footballer and his friends supposedly stayed at this hotel in Stockholm.
According to "Expressen," the police were said to have secured clothing items from the hotel, such as underwear, black trousers, and a black top, as evidence.
The prosecutor's office and police only confirm that an investigation into the rape is being conducted. They refuse to provide any additional information.
"Slanderous rumours"
The matter began to gain publicity on social media. In response, the player's entourage issued a statement in which reports from the Swedish press were called "slanderous rumours" and announced taking all necessary legal actions to end the destruction of Mbappe's image.
Mbappe's accusation "is not a good thing for the national team".
"Everyone is free to write what they want but there is a negative atmosphere," lamented coach Didier Deschamps on Monday evening after the 2-1 victory over Belgium in the Nations League match in Brussels.
The hearing before the LFP commission is also set for Tuesday regarding the financial dispute between Mbappe and his former club, Paris Saint-Germain. The Real Madrid striker claims approximately 80 million CAD in unpaid salaries and bonuses.
Recently, Mbappe also faced media criticism for missing national team matches. The player returned to play for Real Madrid after a break due to a thigh muscle injury, but Deschamps did not select him for the October Nations League matches against Israel and Belgium. The "Les Bleus" coaching staff argued that they wanted to give the player time to return to optimal condition.
