Kitchens embrace air fryer revolution for healthier meals

With this simple device, you can prepare everything – not just fries, but also vegetables, chicken, and fish. We're talking about an airfryer, which is set to become a standard feature in every kitchen. This clever device can also prepare eggs, whether soft-boiled or hard-boiled. The whites turn out nicely set, and the yolks remain creamy. Plus, the shells peel off easily.

It's no surprise that the air fryer is becoming more popular. Compared to a high-quality oven, it’s cost-effective and occupies minimal space in the kitchen. It can be a great alternative to an oven for those living in studios and apartments with small kitchenettes. Furthermore, it allows you to prepare crispy snacks with a minimal amount of fat or even none at all, appealing to those who care about maintaining a healthy diet.

Eggs from the airfryer – and you don't have to watch for bubbles

The topic of cooking the perfect soft-boiled or hard-boiled egg has been trending for a while. Even scientists from Naples have tackled the issue, conducting numerous experiments and using hundreds of eggs. Admittedly, their findings are quite surprising. However, preparing eggs in the airfryer is much simpler. It takes no more than 15 minutes for hard-boiled eggs, and the yolk remains creamy, akin to what you'd achieve with the sous vide method.

Recipe for eggs from the airfryer

Preheat the device to 130 degrees Celsius and place the eggs in the basket. The optimal number is 4 eggs – if there are too many, the hot air might struggle to circulate and heat the eggs evenly.

Step-by-step guide for airfryer eggs:

  1. Set the device to bake for 5 minutes at a temperature of 130 degrees Celsius.
  2. Then, place the eggs in the basket, ensuring there is enough space around them for air to circulate freely. Continue baking at 130 degrees Celsius.
  3. For soft-boiled eggs, set the timer for 10 minutes; semi-soft eggs will be ready after 12 minutes, and hard-boiled eggs after 15 minutes.
  4. Carefully transfer the eggs from the basket to a bowl of cold water.
  5. Once cooled, peel off the shells.
