Angelina Jolie has ended her prolonged divorce struggle with Brad Pitt, enriching herself by $80 (CAD 115) million. Although the divorce has been officially finalized, the conflict over the French estate Chateau Miraval and its adjacent vineyard remains unresolved.

The couple, who met on the set of the film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2004, signed a prenuptial agreement before their marriage in 2014, which outlined the division of assets in the event of a divorce.

The agreement stipulated that each would retain their assets acquired before the marriage and that joint resources would be divided. However, the divorce proceedings brought Jolie significant financial benefits.

Angelina Jolie's gains after the divorce

Jolie, one of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses, earning between $20 (CAD 29) to $35 (CAD 50.5) million per film, achieved the greatest profits in 2021 by selling 50% of her shares in Chateau Miraval to Stoli Group for $64 (CAD 92) million. This decision sparked controversy, as the estate was originally intended to secure their children's future.

Additionally, in 2021, Jolie sold a painting by Winston Churchill that Pitt had given her, for $11.5 (CAD 16.6) million. The actress also repaid a loan of $8 (CAD 11.5) million, which Pitt had provided her to purchase a property in Los Angeles, where she currently lives with the children.

No contact with their father

Angelina and Brad have six children: Maddox (23 years old), Pax (21 years old), Zahara (19 years old), Shiloh (18 years old), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16 years old). Jolie obtained full custody of the children, while Pitt received visitation rights.

Despite numerous attempts at reconciliation, the children do not maintain contact with their father or his family, a result of escalating conflict since the couple's separation in 2016.
