JetBlue faces $172,000 lawsuit over frozen dessert incident
The reason why a tourist sued JetBlue Airways seems absurd. It turns out that during the flight, the woman was served an overly frozen ice cream sandwich. The tourist is demanding a significant compensation.

According to foreign media, a passenger travelling with JetBlue from New York to Paris filed a lawsuit against the airline. She wrote that the airline committed serious negligence because "of the dangerously cold temperature and solid state of the ice cream sandwich she was served."
She ate the ice cream sandwich and it all began
The content of the lawsuit was accessed by "The Independent." According to the woman quoted by them, the airline exacerbated the problem "by not warning of the dangerously low temperature of the strawberry ice cream sandwich that she was served."
"The ice cream sandwich that Defendant served to Plaintiff was frozen solid and caused Plaintiff to sustain severe bodily injuries, including a root fracture of tooth number 10," reads the complaint.
From the woman's account, it follows that a quick surgical intervention and implant placement were necessary, and upon returning to the United States, additional medical procedures were required. However, the passenger claims she is still struggling with "pain, suffering, and mental anguish" resulting from the unfortunate incident.
Huge money
Filing the lawsuit is a pretext to demand compensation from the airline. The amount the woman is seeking is staggering—as much as $172,000. According to the lawyers of the injured party, compensation is due under the provisions of the Montreal Convention. So far, the airline has not addressed the issue.
