The first film, "Inside Out," grossed over $800 million worldwide and won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA award. The second part of the animation has a chance to earn even more money because it's already breaking records.

The animation "Inside Out" first appeared in theatres in 2015. The film, directed by Peter Docter, cost $175 million and earned $857 million worldwide, which many couldn't believe—breaking James Cameron's "Avatar" record in its first weekend. That was something. Critics praised the film, audiences stormed theatres, and finally, the animation collected the most important industry awards. The second part was only a matter of time. It took 9 years to produce. The trailer broke popularity records, as we wrote in a previous article.

"Inside Out 2" conquers theatres

Since the beginning of June, you can watch the second part of Riley's Adventures, guided by various emotions - led by Joy. The girl is growing up, and with that, Fear, Sadness, Disgust, and Anger are joined by new emotions, led by Anxiety. Riley is going through a tough time as her mind is in chaos, and the feelings that have shaped Riley's personality over the years must suddenly make room for the new ones. Tears are guaranteed at the finale.

"Inside Out 2" perfectly fits the beginning of summer. This animated film will be this summer's hit and is already breaking box office records.

As we wrote, Pixar's computer animation initially earned $155 million in the US, the best opening result achieved this year. It almost doubled the results of two titles from March: "Dune: Part Two" ($82.5 million) and "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" ($80 million). The best summer season opening result this year was held by "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes," with only $58.4 million.

New viewership results are coming in, and they are even more impressive. As reported by "Hollywood Reporter," the animation is "on fire."

The film has already earned $724 million, and that's after just two weekends of global screenings. Ticket revenues are so huge that it has already surpassed "Dune: Part Two" (grossing $711 million). And that's not all. The cartoon could become the most-watched in the history of animated films and make it to the list of the highest-grossing films of all time. It is already being pointed out that the results of "Inside Out 2" from the second weekend are better than what "Barbie" achieved two weeks after its premiere.

"Bad Boys: Ride or Die" is in second place at the American box office. The film, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, has grossed $289 million.
