The Assembly of States Parties to the ICC announced that an external investigation is underway to guarantee an independent, impartial, and fair process, urging all involved parties to provide full cooperation.
Khan assured that despite the allegations, he continues to focus on conducting investigations related to alleged war crimes, including the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Matters concerning him are being handled by deputy prosecutors.
Khan denies the accusations. He speaks of a disinformation campaign
Khan denied allegations of misconduct reported by ICC bodies. He then called for an investigation into the matter. He emphasized that accusations of forcing an assistant into sexual acts were part of a disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting his office.
ICC judges are considering Khan's May request to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leaders.
