The actor is currently working on an autobiography, which will be released next year. Naturally, he will discuss his divorce. Does he know what he's up against?

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Hugh Jackman's book will include many candid confessions about his life, including details of his recent divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness. The couple ended their marriage in September 2023, after 27 years together.

Jackman's close ones are concerned about his well-being when it comes to opening up about personal topics.

"He's obviously nervous because he always had the option to hide behind his characters or family," said a source in "Woman's Day." "He never felt like the tough guy people saw him as and is worried that his inherent 'geekiness' will ruin his image," they added, acknowledging that many of Hugh's close ones are concerned about him.

"Honestly, we’ve all been a bit worried about him. He’s been so focused on Deb and the kids, and making sure they’re all taken care of in this divorce, that he kind of got lost there," it reads.

Hugh Jackman's divorce

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announced their split in an official statement filled with familiar phrases: "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth." The couple emphasized that their priority will always be the well-being of their children, whom they want to provide with full support. Traditionally, they also requested privacy.

The divorce did not mean a complete break in contact between them. Hugh and Deborra remain on friendly terms, and according to a close friend, "now both feel much better and have a supportive, friendly relationship."

The couple met in 1995 and married in Melbourne a year later. Hugh was 27 years old at the time, while Deborra was 14 years older than him. Together, they raised two adopted children: Oscar (24) and Ava (19).

Of course, Hugh Jackman's most recent prominent film is Deadpool & Wolverine, which was a box office hit this past summer.
