The toilet is undoubtedly the dirtiest place in the house. Unfortunately, many people forget to clean the toilet brush regularly. However, there is a simple way to clean it thoroughly and without much effort.

Cleaning the toilet is a matter of health and hygiene, as it is a breeding ground for various bacteria and microorganisms. Unfortunately, we often forget about the toilet brush, which regularly contacts dirt from the toilet bowl. For many people, cleaning the brush seems unnecessary, so they limit themselves to simply rinsing it with water. However, this approach is insufficient.

The toilet brush requires regular and thorough disinfection to remove accumulated bacteria and other contaminants effectively. Therefore, it is worth performing a comprehensive disinfection of the brush once a week. This procedure will ensure its cleanliness and help maintain the bathroom's hygiene.

How to clean the toilet brush?

Cleaning the toilet brush is very simple. Just pour warm water into a bucket or container to submerge the brush. Then add 30 millilitres of baking soda and mix thoroughly. Submerge the toilet brush in this prepared solution. If the bucket is large enough, place the container where you store the brush.

Leave the brush for about an hour. Then rinse everything with warm water. The next step is thoroughly drying the brush and container using a paper towel. It is a good idea to leave the bathroom supplies to dry completely.

Baking soda will help clean the brush

Due to its versatile properties, baking soda is often used for cleaning, both in the kitchen and in the bathroom. It has a range of features that are perfect for cleaning the toilet brush. Most importantly, it acts as an antibacterial and whitening agent, softens water, and prevents limescale buildup.

To keep the toilet brush clean, it’s worth submerging it in water and baking soda solution once a week. Regular use of this method prevents the accumulation of bacteria and other contaminants on the brush, allowing for a clean bathroom.

To ensure more hygienic conditions in our bathroom, the toilet brush insert must be replaced at least once every six months.
