Do you clean your toilet daily, yet limescale still appears on the bowl? You don’t have to scrub it. Reach for a product you most likely already have at home, and the toilet will regain its former shine.

Maintaining the toilet in perfect condition can be challenging, especially when regular cleaning methods fail. Fortunately, simple and effective home remedies will help restore its snowy white colour.

How to clean the toilet without scrubbing? Reach for a product that you most likely already have in your refrigerator. Dissolve it in boiling water, pour it into the bowl, and let it sit overnight. The toilet will regain its former shine.

Throw it into the toilet and leave it overnight. In the morning, it will sparkle with cleanliness

The toilet is one of the most contaminated places in the house. It collects a lot of dirt and dangerous bacteria daily, so it requires regular cleaning. You can choose from many ready-to-use cleaning agents that rely on strong chemicals. This method is effective but not eco-friendly.

Gels or sprays for toilets can be replaced by homemade, safe, inexpensive cleaning agents that are as effective as store-bought ones. One such product is baking soda. Just sprinkle it on the toilet and thoroughly rub it onto the surface with a brush. Leave it for half an hour, or better yet, overnight. The next day, scrub the bowl again with a brush and flush the water. The toilet will feel like new.

However, there is another method that does not require scrubbing. You only need one thing—fresh yeast. You can buy it at any store for only three dollars. How to clean the toilet with yeast? Take a cup. Pour crumbled yeast into it and boiling water over it. Pour the mixture into the bathroom and let it sit overnight. In the morning, flush the water. Scrubbing is unnecessary, as the yeast will easily remove all dirt, including limescale.

Limescale on the toilet is a problem that appears in many homes. It results from the precipitation of calcium and magnesium ions, forming an unsightly yellow or brown deposit on the bowl. How do you get rid of it? Reach for a product you most likely already have in your kitchen cupboard.

This product is citric acid. Pour it into the toilet and pour boiling water over it. Leave the mixture for 15–20 minutes. Citric acid dissolves the limescale, removes stains, and neutralizes nasty odours. Repeat the treatment every two weeks, and you will forget about dirt.
