HBO is preparing a new series about the fate of Harry Potter and his friends. The actress who played Ginny in the film saga hopes that the complexity of her relationship with the main character will be more emphasized. Will she once again play the beloved of the young wizard?

"If only we could have five-hour movies...” - Bonnie Wright, known for her portrayal of Ginny Weasley in the films, mused in an interview with Variety. Although the actress realizes that such long productions are not the norm, the serial format might be the ideal solution here.

She hopes that the thread of her romance with Harry Potter will be given more space. She laments that the stories that book readers had a chance to get acquainted with remain a mystery to the rest.

There’s nuanced moments of where they begin to fall in love. I think more of that arc of her character becoming this real loyal sidekick to Harry and how she really understands and knows his story and who he is and is the best partner for him. So I just hope we see that evolution of that character — and so many characters. If only we could have had five-hour movies. There are so many characters that have moments I love from the books — Neville and Luna — so I’m hoping as a fan of the books that I get to see more — she declared.

Firm words from the film's Harry Potter. He won't appear in the series

Although the actress did not rule out participation in the upcoming HBO series, Daniel Radcliffe unequivocally denied that he would appear on set. He would refuse even if producers offered him a cameo role.

In an interview with E! News, the 35-year-old revealed that he can't wait for J.K. Rowling's new iteration of the story but prefers to watch it as a viewer. He remarked that it's very wise that the creators want to have a clean slate.

Finding such a distinctive trio (Harry, Hermione, and Ron) will undoubtedly be difficult, but the production has already announced casting. Rumour has it that Toby Woolf will be hired for the first two parts, where the characters are the youngest. The premiere is scheduled for 2026. Are you excited, too?
