Harrison Ford steps into the Marvel spotlight as Red Hulk
Harrison Ford returns to the big screen as the star of the long-awaited next installment of the Captain America adventures. It will debut the 82-year-old actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with "Good Morning America," he revealed what motivates him to take on new challenges.
Harrison Ford doesn't hide that participating in a Marvel production is not only a very interesting challenge for him but, above all, a privilege. "It’s a Marvel movie for God’s sake. And it’s got all of that smash and grab, running, jumping and falling down stuff," he said in the mentioned interview.
The Hollywood legend will play Thaddeus Ross, replacing the late William Hurt, who played the character in five previous MCU films. In the new installment, Ross, as the President of the USA, will transform into the long-awaited Red Hulk.

Despite his vast acting experience, Harrison Ford realizes he has a very difficult task ahead. "He’s complicated—he turns into a hulk on rare occasions," he says.
"Captain America: Brave New World" will be the first film in the series with Anthony Mackie as Captain America. His character, Falcon, took over the shield from Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in the series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" after the events of "Avengers: Endgame."
Harrison Ford, who for many years delighted fans as Indiana Jones or Han Solo in Star Wars, does not hide that the acting challenge he has taken on is fascinating. Despite his advanced age, adventures like these make him open to new professional challenges.
I find challenge. I find new people to work with. It’s kind of a fantastic way to spend your life. I see it out of the corner of my eye (his career - editor's note) every once in a while. But I don’t reflect on it. I’m looking for something past that point," he said on "Good Morning America."
"Captain America: Brave New World" will hit theatres on February 14, 2025.
