After being prematurely released from prison, Gypsy Rose Blanchard became an internet celebrity, and millions started following her life on social media. The girl shared her plans for herself once her "five minutes" were over.

The story of Gypsy Rose sends chills down the spine. The girl was believed to be gravely ill, suffering from a range of severe ailments, starting with asthma and ending with muscle dysphoria. At least, that’s what her mother, Dee Dee, claimed. Dee Dee dedicated her life to raising her daughter with significant disabilities. Gypsy underwent various procedures, moved around in a wheelchair, and had all her teeth removed, even though... she didn’t need any of it. It turned out that the girl didn’t suffer from any of the disorders attributed to her by her mother. After years of physical and psychological abuse, Gypsy decided to take matters into her own hands. Along with her boyfriend, whom she met online, they decided to kill her mother. Dee Dee died in 2015 due to stab wounds. Gypsy was ultimately free.

Of course, not entirely. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison for first-degree murder (she wasn't the direct "perpetrator"), and her accomplice, Nicholas Godejohn, received a life sentence. Gypsy had the opportunity to apply for early release after serving 8 and a half years of her sentence. She was freed on December 28, 2023.

The fate of Gypsy was followed with interest by millions of people worldwide. After her release from prison, the woman became a popular TikToker. She is followed by almost 10 million users on the platform. Gypsy is well aware that fame doesn’t last forever. She revealed that she knows what to do when her time in the spotlight is over.

Is it giving up fame, money, recognition, and PR packages in favour of rigid working hours, a smaller paycheck, and regulated vacation time? It doesn’t sound like a good deal, but that’s precisely what Gypsy Rose dreams of. Perhaps she values peace and stability – an income on time, independent of the number of collaborations secured.

On the one hand, one might suggest that Gypsy’s motives are irrational and that liking fries from fast food doesn’t correlate with working in a restaurant. On the other hand, the influencer might genuinely long for something that she associates with normalcy, allowing her to step down from the spotlight, on which she was initially placed entirely involuntarily.
