What is sensitive capillary skin?
Sensitive capillary skin is particularly fragile and depends on external factors. It is easily recognized by occurring redness or "spider veins," which are networks of blood vessels that can break. The problem becomes visible to the naked eye when the vessels expand. It is also characterized by excessive tightness, itching, or burning sensations, most often around the chin, nose, cheeks, and forehead. This type of skin not only significantly affects appearance but also comfort.
The fall-winter period is extremely troublesome for this condition due to variable temperatures. A major mistake exacerbating this problem is staying out in freezing weather and immediately heading to a radiator or fireplace. It's wise to allow temperatures to change gradually so the skin doesn't experience a sudden thermal shock. The same goes for excessive sun exposure. Here, UV radiation is also not beneficial, but you don't have much to worry about during these seasons.
How to deal with it?
Proper skincare is the key to addressing emerging "capillaries." Here are the most important cosmetics that will deliver the desired results:
- creams dedicated to sensitive capillary skin,
- gentle tonics and lotions that seal blood vessels,
- moisturizing creams,
- nourishing and soothing masks,
- chamomile or wild rose petal compresses,
- enzymatic peels,
- day creams with UVA and UVB filters,
- products containing aloe vera, shea butter, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, and vitamins C and K.
Cosmetics alone may not be enough, so consider other factors as well. Spicy or very hot dishes are not ideal for sensitive capillary skin. Try to avoid them, and you may notice a significant improvement. Paying attention to what we eat will also be highly beneficial. A well-balanced diet affects not only our health and well-being but also the condition of our skin. Additionally, stimulants such as alcohol or cigarettes can exacerbate this problem.
Long and hot baths, saunas, or excessively warm room temperatures can be harmful. Conversely, spending time in freezing conditions will have a similar negative effect. Such temperature fluctuations strongly impact the skin, causing discomfort and weakening its condition. On the other hand, if you're missing the sun and decide to visit a tanning salon, remember to use sunscreen and avoid overdoing it.
